Shady Oaks Country Club History and Founding

Shady Oaks Country Club was founded in 1935 by Marvin Leonard, a successful Fort Worth businessman who also founded Colonial Country Club. Leonard purchased the land that would become Shady Oaks and hired renowned golf course architect, Perry Maxwell, to design the club’s golf course.
